This bar chart displays the count of medals won by athletes of different genders across varying temperature differences. The x-axis represents gender, the y-axis shows the number of medals won, and the bars are colored based on the temperature difference between the athlete's home country and the Olympic venue. This is an interactive bar graph that helps represent a multitude of factors within our research. First of all we can see the X axis i showing male and female medal count that we have within our data. The Y axis represents the total medal count, what is also shown vertically for the male and female values is the distribution of the temperature difference between the athletes home country and that of the country that they competed in when going for a medal. This helps represent that more people medaled when the difference between their home country and country the competed in was lower represented by the darker purple color, and with greater difference is a lighter purple to yellow fade.
This grouped bar chart illustrates the gender distribution across different Olympic sports, highlighting any gender disparities or dominances in specific sports. This graph is simply showing us the gender distribution between Male athletes (Blue) and Female athletes (Red) in each of the different sports that we have data for.
This line chart depicts the trend of medal wins by gender over the years, providing insights into how the performance and participation of male and female athletes have evolved in the Olympics. This is a representation of of how many medals have been won by both male and female athletes over time, as we can see the X axis shows us the olympic years and then the y axis shows the amount of medals won. We can see that the Males in red have more medals over time but it seems that the lines tend to follow each other.
